Bear’s Paw

Welcome to Bear’s Paw a gated waterfront golf course community in beautiful Central Naples. The community features a mix of single family homes and condos for a wide range of choices for your residence. As an “equity golf community” residents may live within the community and do NOT have to join the country club. Bear’s Paw is not a “bundled golf community” and country club membership is an extra cost if you want to golf or use country club amenities.

Golf and Country Club

Bears Paw Country Club has a limited membership of 297 members, one of the smallest memberships in Naples. One of the benefits of a smaller membership is it is easy to get tee times during high season. In addition to golf, members will enjoy 4 Har-Tru Tennis courts, 2 pickleball courts, 2 bocce ball courts and, a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Golf Course

Here you will find Naples’ first Jack Nicklaus signature course. The course has narrow fairways that are tree lined and bordered by a thick cut of rough. There are water hazards that come into play on several holes. In true Nicklaus fashion, the course has several elongated greens that are difficult to read because of all their subtle breaks. The signature hole is the 14th, a 205-yard par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a narrow green that is well bunkered on the back side.

Membership

Membership to the country club is among the more affordable country clubs in the Naples area. Initial membership deposits are $35,000 for full golf members and $3000 for social members. Annual dues are $11,925 for golf members and $1,500 for social members. Full golf members enjoy unlimited golf and full use of all club facilities. Social members enjoy golf in the off season and use of all non-golf club facilities anytime.

Waterfront

Bear’s Paw is one of the very few golf communities with its own on-site Marina. The Community’s waterfront is situated along the Golden Gate Canal which provides easy gulf access via the Gordon River and Naples Bay. Enjoy the convenience of keeping your boat in one of the club’s lifts or slips, or take a kayak out for an afternoon tour through Naples’ many miles of canals. A few homes in Landings community within Bear’s Paw even include direct water frontage with the ability to park your boat behind your home.

Boat access to the gulf is via the Golden Gate Canal and the Gordon River to Naples Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Clearance under the US-41 bridge over Naples Bay is 9 feet so any boats with a height clearance of less than 9 feet can be docked in Bear’s Paw. Not all your boating has to be in the gulf, as the community provides access to the many miles of canals in Naples which are ideal for rowing, canoeing and kayaking.
