Grey Oaks

Welcome to Grey Oaks, Naples premiere 3 course 15 hole equity country club community. Freshwater lakes wind through manicured greens, tropical flowers, and coconut palms with chirping birds. Tucked in secluded enclaves, homes maintain their privacy from the main roads. While tennis courts, a resort-style pool, and award-winning golf courses coax most residents outdoors, a brand new 30,000-square-foot Wellness Center is a tempting place to stay inside and in shape.

Backstory

In the late 1980s, Grey Oaks was a scrub of land owned by a woman named Judy Sproul, who’d inherited the property from her grandfather, the pioneering Florida landowner and businessman Barron Collier. Judy set her heart on developing a country club because, in her words: “I wanted to build something I could be proud of, something that leaves a legacy of what we do in the area.” Today, residents are still benefiting from her vision.

The Club

Living in Grey Oaks keeps residents healthy, young, and stress-free. With all levels of coaching in golf or tennis and over sixty classes a week offered at the Wellness Center, minds and bodies will get plenty of exercise. Social calendars stay full with community events at the Clubhouse or dining with friends at one of Grey Oaks’ three restaurants. Depending on your mood and attire, there’s a venue for everything.

Golf Courses

The Pine Course features rolling berms and varied elevations and is rated as one of the Top 5 Toughest courses in Florida. This course is the longest of the courses here at Grey Oaks with a total length of 7131 yards from the farthest tees. The Palm Course uses water, island greens, lagoons, and coconut palms to create a tropical layout. The beach vibe can be felt throughout with lakeside beaches serving as sand trap bunkers along the numerous water hazards. Island tees and greens add to the challenge with water hazards awaiting those who overshoot the green.
The third course is the Estuary. It is a target golf course with tranquil lakes bordering every fairway. I recommend bringing an extra sleeve or two of golf balls!
